It was simple to put together as the instructions were clear and simple to follow. The only negative comment I have is that in case you have a 32"" tv like I have (Samsung LN32B550) of the horizontal arms can block the rear input/output terminals. Fortunately I have a hacksaw and could trim the offending arm. So in case you are thinking of buying this be aware of this. Otherwise vizio tv stand base is sturdy and works well.
