All right, I bought this TV for my spouse. The manual is fine for connections and general description; but, vizio tv stand base is not so thorough when giving advice for ""Setup."" That is because when you first turn vizio tv stand base on, vizio tv stand base prompts you to follow the ""Setup Wizard"" which guides you, step by step. straight forward (had no issues setting up the DVD player), unless you are trying to setup a Satellite Receiver for TV2 (at least this was the case with my DISH process).

I was one time prompted to get an activation code ( simple online). It did not like that I selected ""coaxial"" as my connection process... but hey, that is what I had. Then, vizio tv stand base failed to detect ""Channel three."" I was one time unable to proceed beyond this point... until I called their customer support number. They told me to select ""Antenna"" in lieu of ""Satellite"" when connecting to TV2. After trying that, everything was fine. The picture is ""so-so"" (due to the coaxial connection), but that was expected.
