It comes in a shiny strong box that is shipped in another snug fitting shipping box, so there is no chance of shipping damage. As the instructions say, make positive you use a stud finder to find the vertical wall studs. You require the lags to hit the middle of the stud. Another trick I have learned in locating the middle of a stud (in the event you don't have a stud finder) is to knock on the wall.
